MSI Launches "Refurbished Computers Information Talent Training Program"

To promote local information education and repurpose obsolete computers, MSI has launched the “Refurbished Computers Information Talent Training Program”. The first phase of the program donated 60 refurbished laptops, to Jinling Girls' High School and Yongping High School in New Taipei City, while also assisting the schools in offering free digital courses to enhance the community’s digital learning and innovation capabilities, achieving a win-win-win outcome in environmental, economic, and social benefits.
MSI’s CSR Initiatives in Education
- Refurbished Laptop Donations: In 2022, MSI donated over 300 refurbished computers to schools and charitable organizations, including social welfare units in New Taipei and Taoyuan, supporting underprivileged and rural students.
- Repairs and Upgrades: Each refurbished laptop is carefully repaired and updated to ensure excellent performance, enabling use of advanced software applications like graphic design and animation.
- Resource Recycling & Corporate Social Responsibility: MSI promotes the reuse of resources and fulfills its corporate social responsibility.
Promoting Community Digital Education
The “Refurbished Computers Information Talent Training Program” is more than just donating computers. It also integrates a mission of promoting community digital education. In the first phase, 65 mid-to-high-end laptops were donated to Jinling Girls' High School and Yongping High School for student use during regular school hours. On weekends, the schools offer free courses to enhance digital skills for local residents, with over 1500 people expected to benefit from the program.

New Information Classroom: The donated gaming laptops were used to establish the “Third Information Classroom” and offer five major information training courses, including 3D modeling, computer graphics, information security, etc., catering to students of different ages and needs.
Yongping High School
Digital Courses for the Elderly: Teaching older adults how to use online appointment booking, bill payments, and other digital life applications, alongside basic cybersecurity and cloud collaboration courses.
Program Impact and Future Outlook
MSI’s donations and the subsequent course offerings help strengthen the connection between schools and communities while providing students and residents with opportunities to engage in digital learning. The program is expected to further promote social welfare and expand digital equity and educational fairness in the future.
